The Gladys C. Burbage Courtyard Theatre The Stephen Decatur High School Theatre Department began this outdoor theatre with volunteer help in 1995. The theatre was named and dedicated in 1996 with a production of William Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream." Every fall, a Halloween show is presented and every spring, "Shakespeare Under The Stars." The stage and the grounds are maintained and constantly improved by students in the drama department along with a small group of parents and community volunteers.
